Greetings From Will

Hey, it’s Will from Old Money Club.

I looked for a long time for a place where I felt I belonged, and to be honest the search took me nowhere – moodboards of Palladian homes, golf-courses, classic cars, Ralph Lauren models, Ivy League schools and picturesque views of American estates were fun, but I didn’t feel involved.

I came from a family supported by my yuppie father in Northern California, ended up at English boarding school and continued from there – shooting, golf, rugby, theatre, cigars, whisky… uh… tweed sports jackets – my perspectives and interests have travelled across the pond and back again on a multitude of occasions and my passion for these things feels… displaced.

I feel cut off.

My British and American interests feel split into two different worlds, and I’m here trapped in the middle.

Can anyone relate? On any level? If spun another way, perhaps?

What’s even the point of all this?

So, at Old Money Club, we’re starting not a lacklustre website, not an inaccessible mood-board, not a boring soulless forum, but a community, and we want people like you.

Yep, you.

It’s going to be fun. This will be a place we can all enjoy shared interests – fashion, culture, music, art, architecture, and whatever other stuff feels right.

Talk soon.

Will.
